Looking for something fun to do this April? How about intramural golf? This club is for beginning students who would like to learn basic golf skills, gain knowledge and confidence, and get some practice to be able to play this awesome lifetime activity. In Ohio, the following vaccines are required by law:

7th-grade students must show proof that they have received (1) dose of Tdap, and (1) dose of MCV4 . This requirement must be met NO LATER THAN THE 14th day of attendance at school for the 2020-21 school year.

When is AIR testing?

April 14 & 15: ELA

April 21 & 22: MATH

April 29: Science 8th grade

When should my student arrive?

Virtual students taking the AIR test should arrive at SJH between 8:00 and 8:30.

Testing will begin at 8:45 and last until 10:45 (ELA/MATH) or 11:25 (Science)

*students with accommodations may require extra time

When should I plan to pick up my child?

Students should be picked up between 10:50 and 11:30 and be home and ready for their virtual classes as soon as possible. We will be following an adjusted Testing Bell Schedule and will share that with you after spring break.

What about HealthyAves safety?

We will be following COVID-related safety protocols, including mask requirements, recommended spacing, and sanitization procedures.

What if my child is in Algebra 1 or Geometry?

We are waiting on further direction from the State of Ohio regarding current legislation in the House about the AIR testing for these subjects and the impact on graduation requirements. We will let you know as soon as possible how that affects our students.

How will you know if my child is testing at the JH and plan for that?

We will, unfortunately, have to send out another survey to gather additional information once we have clarity from the State of Ohio. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

When will students take the AIR assessments?

Sycamore Junior High will administer the AIR assessments on April 14, 15, 21, 22 and 29.
