Book Fair Door Decorating Contest

To help promote the Book Fair, we are having a classroom door decorating contest. Staff and/or students may decorate their door in the Monster theme to match the Book Fair theme. Our Bright Futures partners will judge the doors on the morning of Thursday, October 22. The winner will get to have Mr. Shallenburger teach your class for 45 minutes! SAY WHAT!?!

NEU Conference

Mrs. Brownfield and I will be attending the required NEU conference in Dallas on October 21 in the afternoon and all day on October 22 and 23. Each school in Carthage is sending the principal and a NEU representative. Mrs. Harter will continue to be here in the morning and "on-call" in the afternoon. Mr. Conrow will be here to help with items that need immediate attention on Thursday and Friday. You can still reach me on my cell phone or email if needed.

Data Day - Tuesday, November 3

During Lit. Meetings, we will place students in TigerTime groups. We will look at data and suggestions from ELL and Title I teachers to make the best possible placement for our students.

Morning Show

TigerTV is an amazing tool to strengthen our universal culture, highlight students, teach character, and foster our school community. Please encourage your students to stop and watch the morning show. I truly hope you see the positive culture it provides and not see it as an annoyance. Mrs. Wurst and Mrs. Meyer do an amazing job and try to make it fun, informative and brief. Thank you for supporting our TigerTV!

Baked Potato Dinner - Conferences

PTO will be providing dinner for all staff on Tuesday, October 27 from 6:00-6:40 pm for the parent/teacher conferences. Baked potatoes, toppings, salad, and dessert will be served in the workroom. Make sure to say a big "thank you" to our PTO volunteers!
