"We Own What We Do, and GRIT Gets Us Through"
Collins Commentary
STUDENT IDs: Students received their official IDs this week in ELA class. This is now a required dress code component. These are the expectations that have been communicated to students:
- Do not chew on, bend, cut or otherwise damage them
- Do not write on the ID
- Do not cover the photograph by coloring over it or covering with a sticker
- Do not trade or give your ID to someone else
- DON'T LOSE THEM. They have a chip imbedded to be able to quickly scan in at the library, cafeteria line, and soon scanning in to campus as they arrive.
- Students will be reminded daily for the first few weeks to put their ID into their backpack before dismissing.
·
ARRIVAL REMINDERS: We are noticing more students being dropped off and left unsupervised in the mornings, both in the front and on the covered patio. Students may not be on campus before 8:20, and may not be dropped in the teacher parking lot.
DISMISSAL REMINDERS: Parents may not park in the teacher parking lot to pick up their children. Parents must remain in their cars and drive through the pickup line in the front circle drive. Also students may not walk into the main road (Old Richmond) to get into vehicles. This is dangerous. Please follow the instructions of the adults on duty, who are only trying to keep everyone safe.
WATER BOTTLES: Access to the regular water fountain has been removed due to COVID protocols. Please continue to send a refillable water bottle. We have water bottle filling stations in the cafeteria and by the gyms.
DRESS CODE: District dress code prohibits leggings. Students may not wear the athletic-style spandex leggings/tights in place of pants to school.
