What's going on at RMS?
As I thought about our students setting goals, it occurred to me that it is just as important for the adults in our building to also think about making this the "best year yet" through setting and reaching goals. So how do we make this happen?
First, we, like our students, must think about and define our goals. If we have no goals, how will we know if we are successful? Do you know you want to accomplish this year? Have you thought about what you want to see improved? These goals can be not only professional, but personal as well. They can be daily goals, short-term or even long-term goals, but we need to articulate definite goals and ones that are measurable.
Second, we need to seek out support from others in helping us achieve those goals. Working alone and in isolation can be overwhelming and burdensome. However, when we collaborate with our colleagues, we can find the encouragement and support we need to pursue our goals and never give up!
Lastly, we must make time to work on our goals. It we don't dedicate the time, it simply won't happen. As you have heard many times, "Success doesn't just happen." It is carefully and purposefully planned. Success happens through strategically evaluating our goals and purpose, developing a plan, and making the time to make them happen.
