A Note From Jen and Jane

Many thanks to all who visited Questar III for this week's Council and Communications Coordinators meetings. It was wonderful to see everyone!

Book Buzz with Rebecca Ekstrom

Registration for Book Buzz is now open on MyLearningPlan.

We all know it's a challenge keeping up with best practices, technology, CCLS, the latest Web 2.0 tools, etc., not to mention reading the exciting new books our students want.

This book club will give you the opportunity to expand your repertoire of NEW books whether you are a school librarian or a teacher!

Group members will select and read NEW books, (published in the last three years), from any genre, at any level and write a book review. For each meeting, we will meet in person for one hour.

Members will want to begin reading and be prepared to discuss their books at the first meeting. The meetings will be at Algonquin Middle School Library in Averill Park.

We will meet once in October, once in November and once in December, from 3:30-4:30.

  • Thursday, October 22: from 3:30-4:30 at the Algonquin Middle School Library in Averill Park
  • Thursday, November 19: from 3:30-4:30 at the Algonquin Middle School Library in Averill Park
  • Thursday, December 17: from 3:30-4:30 at the Algonquin Middle School Library in Averill Park

Two credit hours will be given each month, for a total of six hours. This opportunity is open to school librarians and teachers at all grade levels.

Get to know other teachers and librarians in Questar III's component districts. We hope you'll join us!
