Earth Day - Volunteers Needed!
Vernfield's annual Earth Day celebration will be held on Friday, May 10th (raindate May 17th)! Students will rotate through different outdoor stations.
Many volunteers are STILL needed to help this day run smoothly. If you are able to help out, please fill out this form (https://tinyurl.com/VFEarthDay).

Philadelphia Union Game Fundraiser
Choose from: May 4th at 7:30 pm OR May 18th at 7:30 pm. (On May 4, for an additional fee, sleep over and get soccer training in the morning!)

Reading Phils Ticket Book Fundraiser Update
THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO PARTICIPATED! The HSA raised $730 so far from the ticket book sales!
Ticket books and prize vouchers were mailed so anyone who ordered by the March 30th deadline should have received them. The date for the Ultimate Fan Experience has not yet been finalized but they will contact everyone who qualified as soon as it has been scheduled.
The Reading Phils are still taking orders for ticket books - 6 general admission tickets for $27 - and Vernfield will still receive $10 for each book sold. You can order online here
Committee Chairs Needed
Literacy DVD - needs a co-chair for grades K through 2. Nora Shurtz will continue as co-chair and will be handling recordings for grades 3 through 5.
Earth Day - could still use 1 person to chair along with Meg Dick and Erin Wascavage.
Holiday Shoppe - needs 1 more person to chair along with Nicole Whalen and Alisha Reynolds.
Prime Time Reading - needs at least 1 person, preferably 2 people to chair. The Chair from the last 2 years, Katie Ross, has all of the forms and information you will need and will be available to answer questions along the way.

IVEF Mixed Bag Fundraiser - The IVEF (www.IndianValleyEF.org) works in partnership with the Souderton Area School District to provide funding support to each of our schools in a variety of ways! SASD Spring Concerts start this week! Check the schedule for details.
EMC Elementary School will be holding their annual Panther's Run on Saturday, May 4th at 9:00am at EMC Elementary School. Registration is $20 for the 5K and $10 for the 1-mile fun run. Register by 4/20 to guarantee a t-shirt, and after that date, the cost of registration goes up. EMC is working hard to raise funds for a new playground after their old playground did not pass inspection. Please come out and support our community!
SAVE Spring Community Recycling Day, on May 4th at 9:00a.m.-1:00p.m.
Location: West Broad Elementary School, 342 West Broad Street. Many "difficult to recycle" items are being collected. Please see the SAVE Recycling flyer for the complete list.
Oak Ridge Elementary School will be holding their Oak Ridge Derby Designer Bag Bingo event on Friday, May 10th at 7 pm at St. Maria Goretti. Tickets are $35. For more information, contact Sara Faliveno at sara@premiermp.org
The Souderton Area School District Board of School Directors will hold Board Committee Meetings on Monday, May 20 at 6:30 PM in the Tinner Board Room at the District Administrative Office Building, 760 Lower Road, Souderton, PA.
Summer Lunch: IVEF is running a summer lunch program (Big Red Picnic Program) and is currently seeking donations. They need to raise $36,000 to meet their goal and fully fund the program. Check out their Summer Lunch Flyer for details and how to donate.
SACE Summer Program Registration is Now Open! Summer Adventure Day Camp offers full day camp with before/after care and day trips. Summer Workshops in a variety of topics and interests are offered for campers interested in 1-week programs. See the online brochure for details. Register online here.
