Press Release: Midlothian ISD to hold Modified In-person Graduation Ceremonies
Based upon feedback from the senior Class of 2020, Midlothian ISD’s high schools will hold modified, condensed graduation ceremonies at the MISD Multi-Purpose Stadium on May 29 and 30. The district is working closely with our local and state health officials to create safety protocols for these events.
“We understand graduation is a momentous occasion in every student’s life, and we are grateful for the chance to honor our seniors,” Lane Ledbetter, Superintendent of Schools, said. “The safety and security of our students, staff and community members are our top priority, and we would like to thank everyone for their patience, understanding and partnership to make this a safe and memorable event.”
Midlothian High School’s graduation will be held Friday, May 29, and Heritage High School’s graduation will be held Saturday, May 30. Both ceremonies will be held in the evening and the times are to be determined. Due to social distancing and health and safety guidelines, each senior will receive four tickets for immediate family members within their household.
More details about the logistics and procedures for the Class of 2020 graduation ceremony will be released soon. As issues surrounding COVID-19 remain fluid, the district will continue to monitor the situation and follow all state and county guidelines for any possible changes to the graduation ceremonies.
Please read this letter regarding the semester 2 grade calculations for the 19-20 school year.

Our Midlothian ISD physicals which were planned for Saturday, May 16th, are cancelled. More information will be coming soon concerning athletic paperwork for the 2020-21 school year.

It’s time for PAW week again, Panthers! Last year your StuCo started an incredible week of events and opportunities to give back to our community. Just because we aren’t together doesn’t mean we can’t continue to give back.
Here’s how you can join Student Council and give back:
Wednesday - curbside donation drop offs to Manna House from 9 am - 3 pm. If you missed this time, you can still donate tomorrow. There are a lot of families in need of food during this time and Manna House helps to provide for them.
Thursday - show your immediate family that you care by doing something around the house without being asked to do it.
Friday - Take out Friday! Once more, grab lunch, dinner, or a sweet treat from one of our Midlo restaurants.
With each of these, make sure to snap a picture and post it on social media tagging @midlothianstuco and @midlomedia. Also, use the hashtag #MHSPawWeek. We can’t wait to see our Panthers At Work.
