WE DID IT!!!
The kids have worked very hard and earned 80 eagle feathers! I promised them a party of their choice! We will party next Friday, November 21. Here is the plan:
-I will be bringing popcorn & Popsicles.
-We will watch the Lego Movie.
-Dress Up Day!
The kids all wanted to have a dress up day, but couldn't decide - pajama day, cowgirl day, etc. I told them they could dress up as whatever they'd like on that day!
Envisions Math
In math, we are currently working on determining if a number is odd or even. Some of the kids seem to be having difficulty with this. Please practice at home with your child if you are able to. Simply asking, "Is 31 even or odd?" is very helpful! You can remind your child to please check the digit in the "ones" place to determine. We learned that an even number can be divided into 2 equal groups, and also has a "doubles fact". For example, the doubles fact for 12 is: 6 + 6 = 12. Please let me know if you have any questions and thanks for your help!
Operation Gratitude Candy Collection
This week, we sorted and packed up our candy that we collected for Operation Gratitude. Operation Gratitude will then put it in care packages that are sent to troops all over the world. Great job kids!
Book It!
Don't forget to read for at least 20 minutes per night and complete your "Book It" reading calendar to earn your free pizza!
Also, a note was sent home on Monday with your child's personalized access code for the Book It! app. You do NOT need to use the app, but there is one available if you'd like to check it out!
