Student Arrival and Dismissal
Special thanks to all our families who worked together and demonstrated great patience and understanding as we adjusted arrival and dismissal traffic procedures since the start of the year. The adjustments we made have improved overall flow of traffic in and out of the plaza drive. Below are procedural reminders for arrival and dismissal:
Vehicles may only turn right into the plaza drive. This means vehicles entering the drive will only be able to approach the plaza traveling eastbound along Jackson Street.
Vehicles will not be allowed to make a left hand turn into the plaza drive. If you live east of Jackson, we ask that you adjust your route to school in order to approach the drive traveling eastbound along Jackson Street.
Pull as far forward into the designated drop-off zone when dropping off your child. “As far forward” means to the end of the drive, when possible. A Jackson staff member will be at the end of the drive as a point of reference.
Please have your child ready to exit the vehicle quickly when you are in the designated drop-off zone. This will reduce your time in the plaza drive, in addition to wait time for others. Prior to pulling into the drive, please check with your child that he/she is ready to quickly exit the vehicle, when needed.
Vehicles may only turn left when exiting the drive.
Vehicles cannot stop, park, nor wait for students on Jackson Street between
Michigan and the west end of the plaza drive.
Students are never allowed to unload/load vehicles on Jackson Street west of Michigan (this includes vehicles on Jackson Street west of the plaza drive).
As a reminder, parents/guardians and pets are not allowed on the plaza at any time.

Forms can be found under the Health Services section on the District 45 website.
Any student interested in participating in Jackson athletics is required to have a current IHSA sports physical, completed by the parent/guardian and physician, on file in the Health Office. In addition, an Athletic Agreement, signed by both the student and parent/guardian with emergency contacts listed, must also be completed and submitted.
