Principal Corner
Student-Led Conferences are this week! We will have virtual conferences on September 21-22 from 3:00-6:30. Families will receive a video from the teacher to answer overall questions about the classroom. Please watch that video before your scheduled conference Zoom meeting. The Zoom meetings will focus on your child, his/her progress, and goals. Students will attend Zoom meetings with families so they can share some of this information also. We want to have a conference with each one of our families.
Check out this SMORE for information on Specialty classes!
PTA News
The picnic tables have arrived!! We are so excited that you can eat lunch with your child on the new picnic tables. We love seeing our families enjoying lunch together.
The "B.Y.E. Color Run" will be moved to the spring semester.
Thank you for helping us bless the staff during the conference week.
We will start Spirit Day Friday! This will look different this year. Most Fridays will be show spirit by wearing Your BYE gear. This Friday (9/25) we will show spirit with Red, White, and Blue to celebrate Constitution Day and Freedom Week. Friday is also picture day for those on the blended learning plan that attend M/W/F. If that is your child, they can dress for picture day.

Odyssey of the Mind
Does your child love to paint, sew, sing, dance, design mechanical devices, build vehicles, or tinker? Odyssey of the Mind is an international creative problem-solving competition. Teams of 7 students work together to find solutions to varied problems.
Counselor's CornerMrs. Nelson has created a virtual office for the school year. Check it out! | Notes from the Nurse Please send a water bottle to school with your child. Hydration is very important and we are not using water fountains this year. If your child is sick, please keep them home. It is important to err on the side of caution with sickness. Flu shots will be given on October 8th. We will be sending flu forms home on Monday! They must be completed front and back and signed by a parent/guardian. Flu shots are extra important this year. | Covid Reportinggo.sdale.org/covid If a staff or student tests positive for COVID or has a COVID exposure please complete the form at the site above. Someone will call you and we will move forward with the next steps provided by the Arkansas Department of Health. They make decisions regarding class/grade/school closures. It will be helpful if you notify the school administration or nurse as well. When we have a positive exposure in the building, we will notify all parents via letter/automated phone call. If your child is directly affected, you will get a personal phone call describing the next steps. See daily Covid Numbers for the district and other Covid information at the district website. |
