World Cup Fever!
World Cup Fever
World Cup fever was alive in the library. The Men's World Cup was held in Qatar, many of the games were broadcast during lunchtime. When possible the library showed the games for students to enjoy. It was inspiring to see students who have never played soccer want to learn more about the "beautiful game." There were plenty of instances where students took the time to teach their peers. There were moments of cheers and tears during the games.
Roaring Twenties Research
Halloween Coloring Pages
Coloring is a great way to relax and relieve stress.
Astronauts return to Earth
We watched live and listened to NASA as the astronauts left the International Space Station and returned to Earth.
Stick Together Poster
Students worked together to complete a Stick Together poster to reveal a Halloween themed picture. You are never too old to enjoy stickers!
US History classes visited the library to research various topics from the Roaring Twenties. Students were given instruction on using databases from Gale and Salem Press to find quality academic information over their topics. The students also learned how to find copyright free academic images using our newest digital resource, Britannica Image Quest. Providing resources for students to learn Information Literacy is part of the mission of the Legacy Library.
3D Printer in the Library
The library has added a 3D printer to our makerspace. The 3D printer can be used by students to create objects. So far we have made keychains to show students how the 3D printer works and for students to keep. Students can ask any library staff member and we can walk them through the process of selecting an object to print.

3rd Six Weeks Independent Reading!
The library strives to provide a balanced collection that meets the needs and interests of all students. If the students are interested in the book they are reading, they are more likely to finish the book. The library staff promotes reading through creative displays and highlighting new books.
Research shows independent reading is the best way to improve your vocabulary which has a positive impact on test scores. It doesn't matter what they are reading as long as they are reading. #keepreadingbroncos #Life Ready
