Lenski Weekly Update
November 11, 2022
From the Principal's Desk
Happy Veterans Day! Today was such a special day at Lenski. We are grateful for all those that have served our country. We celebrated our Veterans with breakfast sponsored by our PTO, and special contributions from all of our students. We ended with a surprise parade for our Veterans as they walked their Lenski student to their class.
Next week is Kindness Week! We are looking forward to celebrating each day with fun ways to show kindness to each other.
If you have a chance, stop by school to see what our students said they were grateful for as they added feathers to our “Thankful Turkeys, Lloyd and Loretta.” Our students are so incredible and genuine in what they shared.
Have a nice weekend!
With Lenski Love,
Jessica
From the Office
We have our upcoming Lenski Accountability Committee meeting coming up on November 28th at 130pm. Bob Spinuzza, our LPS Director of Safety and Security, will be our guest speaker. We hope to see you there!

Tis the Season of Magic & Joy
Join us in the spirit of giving by donating a Walmart, Target or King Sooper $20 gift card to Lenski Holiday Outreach & stocking the shelves at East Elementary Food Market!
Let's equip the Lenski staff team to sprinkle Holiday magic and discreetly address needs as they arise within our own Lenski community. Should you be able, please consider donating a $20 gift card. Donations can be dropped in the Lenski Front office or sent into school in your student's folder labeled “Holiday Outreach".
Your donated gift cards equip the Lenski front office team with the ability to spread joy as needs arise within our immediate Lenski community year round.
Holiday Outreach gift card collection will run from Monday November 28- Thursday December 22nd.
Lets Partner with our friends at East Elementary to stock the East Food Market shelves this Holiday Season. Collection bins will be in the Lenski Front Entry. We invite grocery donations from the East Market list.

From the Counselor
This month at Lenski we are talking about Gratitude. Gratitude can help people feel more positive emotions, improve their health, deal with adversity, and build strong relationships. In Connection Circles this month, students are sharing “appreciations”. Each student gets a chance to tell another person in the circle that they are thankful for them and why. Students are encouraged to continue to thank their friends and family members throughout the month! Here’s a helpful article with some ideas about how to practice gratitude with your families: Raising Grateful Kids: Why Giving Thanks is Good for the Soul
