Dalai Lama Fellows awards highly competitive, yearlong Fellowships with a project grant of up to $10,000 to emerging leaders who want to design and launch ambitious, mentored Compassion-in-Action projects in one or more of the following areas:

  1. Working across differences;
  2. Diminishing violence and promoting peace;
  3. Alleviating poverty through creative initiatives; and,
  4. Protecting the environment.

Over the course of a year, while Fellows launch their projects, they are immersed in a reflective leadership curriculum, where they deepen their capacity with key skills like project management, coalition building, and empathetic listening.

Come learn more about the Fellowship journey, current and past projects, and eligibility criteria from Program Director, Christian Simamora.

Dalai Lama Fellows - An Introduction

About Dalai Lama Fellows

Dalai Lama Fellows, a unique global program personally authorized by His Holiness the Fourteenth Dalai Lama, envisions and works towards a world that tends to the good of the whole as well as of the individual. We do this by guiding a global network of young social entrepreneurs to deepen their effectiveness by integrating secular ethics, contemplative values, and compassion.
