NEWSLETTER / TERM 3/ WEEK 8/ 6th September 2023
Message From Miss Melanie
The term is rapidly coming to an end but I am proud to say that our attendance has remained high and our students are engaged in their learning. Thank you once again to all of our families for supporting the students to come to school and to try their best, we can't do our job without this support.
Since our last newsletter we have had some exciting activities but the one that stands out the most was Book Week. I hope you all checked out the great clip that Miss Tiana created showing all the great costumes on the day? We also had our Book Fair and this was very well supported by our families. Your purchases allow us to secure additional money to contribute to the purchase of new books to be used in classrooms or to add to our library collection. Thank you to Miss Lesley, Miss Kylie and Miss Kellie for organising the Book Fair - the Library looked awesome.
On Tuesday we were lucky enough to have a visiting soccer coach. come across from Broome to help develop the skills in our students across Years 1 - 6. He will be across again in weeks 9 and 10 to assist in the development of these skills further. We have been able to secure this opportunity through the Sporting Schools grant and thank them for the opportunity to have this excellent opportunity.
Our final assembly for the term will be held next week on Friday at 1.45pm. We look forward to seeing our Yr 1/2 class present their item and for our families to attend.

The Sacrament of Confirmation will be held on Sunday 10th September at 9.00am in the Church. All families are welcome to attend this mass and join the candidates, families and Parish for morning tea in the Parish Centre afterwards.
If you would like your child to be baptised and participate in the Sacramental program and you are not Catholic, please give your name to Miss Jenna.
Inter-school Athletics
Our inter-school team will be having a very early start on Friday 8th September as they head across to Broome for the day. We wish them all the best and thank Miss Inge, Miss Marina, Miss Kylie, Miss Lynette and Mr Simon for supporting the students so that we can participate. I look forward to meeting the team in Broome and cheering loudly as they try their best in each of the events that they have been nominated.

School Advisory Council
If you are interested in supporting the growth and direction of Holy Rosary School we would love to see you join our school Advisory Council. The Council meets once a term to discuss ways to support the school with programmes and future planning and works in partnership with the Principal and relevant members of Staff. If you are interested, please contact the school and we will provide you with further details on how to join.
