Kirk Fenton News
4th October 2019
Dear Parents / Carers,
Our children have continued to show our value of Thankfulness this week through the worships, hymns and around school. Year 6 have been thankful for our beautiful world on their residential where they've also showed a great deal of perseverance and have tried to be the best they can be! Thank you to the Year 5s for covering the many duties that the Year 6s normally do.
Year 2 welcomed other schools in our sports cluster to take part in bean bag rounders which everyone thoroughly enjoyed.
Have a lovely weekend.

Christmas Cards
Although Christmas still seems a long time away, your child's Christmas card designs are ready - so please look out for the letters in book bags early next week. Please ensure orders are placed and paid for in full by the deadline. The designs can be printed on mugs and keyrings etc. too - more details on the order forms - great as Christmas presents.
Who will be on the next Friends' committee? AGM Wednesday 23rd October
We are holding our AGM (annual general meeting) at 6.30pm at school just after parents' evening. This is when the committee for this school year will be voted in. Getting involved is rewarding, looks great on your CV and helps provide extra events and facilities to benefit the children. There's also lots of support from the volunteer network and as much guidance as you need from previous committee members. If you'd like to find out more beforehand, please email us or leave a note at the school office for Michelle Seguss.
Christmas Fair - CAN YOU HELP?
We are looking for a sub-committee to help organise the Christmas Fair. We get started in October so that there is enough time to get everyone organised and share out the tasks - many hands make light work! Please email us on friendsofkirkfenton@gmail.com if you can help.
