Weekly Newsletter 5/28/2021
Message to Parents from Dr. Ball
Dear Judson ISD Families,
As summer break approached, I would like to remind you to read about our free summer meals and Chromebook drop-off plans. I want to wish everyone a fun and safe three-day weekend.
Vaccine for JISD Students 12 Years and Older
Finally, students 12-15 may now receive the vaccine. JISD will administer the second COVID shot to those who received their first one at the high schools on April 27, 2021. If you had someone on your campus, please make sure to remind them to show up at the same time as last time. The campus nurse/administrators sent out emails and the consent forms that need to be filled out and brought with them. Please remind them to bring their white cards with them. They will have a few replacement cards for those who may have lost or misplaced their original card.
Ursula Campbell, RN, is working with a company to come out this week either Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday to all middle schools and high schools to give shots to those that are 12 and older. Once the dates are confirmed, information will be posted on the JISD website, and information will be sent to all campus principals. All students 12-17 will need a consenting adult with them (parent/guardian) to receive their shot. The second shot will be provided on June 8th, 9th, or 10th, depending on what day they receive their first vaccination. Please stand by for specific dates.

Secondary students are following a different plan. They will be turning in their devices to Technology Services at their campus. Dates and time may vary by campus and grade level.
