Updates and Information
Welcome 2nd Semester- We hope everyone had a relaxing weekend and end of 1st semester. Those of you that will be leaving us for in-person- We will miss you dearly! Those joining us new for the 2nd semester- WELCOME!
Last day for new enrollment into VA is Wednesday, Feb 1st.
Pearson Login- During the break the Pearson tech team was able to find a solution to our Single-Sign On (SSO) issues. As long as students are logged into their school Google account, they can now simply click the "LOGIN" button on the Pearson Connexus sign-in home screen.
2022-23 LHS Credit Recovery is continuing; those of you still interested must fill out the registration form online that is linked below. Classes have begun on Oct 22nd and you can join anytime after that date. 11th and 12th graders may enroll in and pay for ONE or TWO classes at a time. 9th and 10th graders may enroll in and pay for ONE class max. Fee is $10 per class. Parents/students may pay in person to the Counseling Office or online at the link below.
Yearbook Pics- We need pictures of our HIGH SCHOOL students doing virtual learning for the yearbook. Please send in pictures showcasing your child learning at home! We will be have a special section for all VA students in the yearbook.

- LEXIA Literacy Program was purchased for ALL K-8th grade students. Lexia enables educators to provide differentiated literacy instruction for students of all abilities, Lexia's research-proven program helps substantially reduce students' risk of not meeting grade-level standards while still being able to give accelerated and on-track students the instruction they need to thrive. - VA photos and IDs are available for pickup- Please call the Virtual Academy Office prior to pickup to confirm your child's pictures are in. ext. 1138
- If you haven't already done so, please fill out the "Household Information Form/School Meals Form" linked below. This form is critical in determining the amount of money that our school district receives for programs like Title 1A, At-risk (31A), E-Rate, etc
- Menus are now listed on the district website. Visit the food service tab or your building page for both breakfast and lunch menus. You can also download the Nutrislice App at https://lincolnk12.nutrislice.com/menu/, search for your school building (LHS) and it lists the menus along with nutritional details.
The store link contains apparel stores to support our various athletic programs that are competing this winter- Use the tabs at the top to switch between the different teams. - The stores are open NOW and will close at varying dates and times that are listed on the store. Items will be delivered to the athletic office for pickup. We appreciate your support of Lincoln Athletics and hope to see you at events this winter supporting our students! For Incoming 10th and 11th graders
The 2023-2024 SWWC Applications opened on December 9th. The deadline for submitting an application is Friday, February 17th.
Applications are available on the SWWC Website under the Information and Applications tab. Students should complete applications based on their home district. (Home School applicants should also complete the application based on their district of residence, selecting the home school option on the application.)
**New this year**
2nd Year Student Requirement Forms for all 2nd year SWWC programs and Teacher Recommendation Forms for Cosmetology and Health Science (2 required) are now electronic forms and will not be accepted on paper. The forms are linked on the applications and are also available on the SWWC Website under the Information and Applications tab.

School Closing Procedure
Any time there is inclement weather in the forecast, our Transportation Director checks road conditions between 3:30 and 4:30 am . Once the decision is made to close school, families and staff are notified using a number of media channels including: Local TV Broadcast Channels 2, 4, 7, Local Radio Stations WWJ/WJR, www.LincolnK12.org, Facebook, Twitter, School Robocall, Email Blast, and Text.

- Respond to questions sent from your teachers - *very important for attendance purposes*

- Sign-up to Attend the In-person Labs on your grade level specific day
- We provide in-district transportation for the LCS Virtual Academy Students that request it in-order to attend the Learning Lab days. The form to request transportation is linked below.
- VA students are expected to complete the same calendar year as the LCS in-person students. A copy of the calendar is linked below
- If you are exhibiting signs of COVID, Flu or any similar symptoms, please inform us to cancel if you were planning on coming to the virtual lab. This is especially important since some families choose to have their child attend a Virtual school because of a weak immune system or other health complications. We want to ensure that sick people stay out of the building for the safety of both students and staff.
