Matt Scott - Principal - Creekside Primary
Principal Matt Scott
I am very proud to be the Principal at Creekside Primary School.
This is my 16th year to be the Principal @ Creekside and my 24th year overall.
I am very excited to be a part of this school and community. If you ever need anything, please do not hesitate to call on us at Creekside.
Week of 2020.03.29
Hey this is Matt Scott, Principal @ Creekside Primary.
I hope everyone is staying safe and staying healthy during this time of quarantine.
Parents, in the next couple of days your child’s teacher will be contacting you to ask what method of instruction you will need for the rest of the school year for your child. We will have online instruction if you have home internet and a device and we will make paper packets available for students who do not have a device or internet connection. Again, your child’s teacher will contact you in the next couple of days to discuss this with you.
Our district is working to ensure our online instruction and our paper packets are manageable for all families and will be covering the most essential skills and state standards for the remainder of the school year.
We will be distributing meals to students on Monday, Wednesday and Friday again this week @ East Limestone High School.
The pick-up location is at the cafeteria entrance of East Limestone High. This is a drive through service. Just pull up and food bags will be given through your car window. Any LCS student can receive 2 days of breakfast and lunch bags each day. Students do not have to be present. Pick-up time is from 11:00-1:00 each day.
I also want to thank Lindsay Lane Baptist Church, Capshaw Baptist Church, East staff and Creekside staff for helping prepare and distribute meals on each of these days. Great job and great teamwork!
Please visit our @CreeksideReads Instagram page to watch videos of staff members from Creekside reading books for our kids.
A Creekside resource page is available on our online newsletter. LINK This resource page has a lot of information for all ages of students and is a great resource to provide fun activities while we are out of school.
All of Creekside campus will be closed for the remainder of this emergency closure. Enjoy this time at home with your families. Stay safe and healthy.
If anyone needs something during this time please let me know by emailing through our school’s website or contact your child’s teacher and they can pass any message along to me.
Stay safe, stay healthy and enjoy your family time. Talk to you soon.
That’s all for tonight. Have a great week and #GoCreekside!
