Cell phones are a big part in daily life. Phones are usually used for entertainment, texting, and helping find destinations. They can be used for communicating and also taking pictures and videos to save memories.
Who was the original inventor?
Alexander Graham Bell was the original inventor of the telephone. He was born on March 3, 1847. He invented the telephone on March 1876. He was deaf and wanted to find a way to transmit sound by electricity. Little did he know, it would become such a big use in modern times.
How was it used when originally invented?
It was used for people to communicate when they where to far, and just to catch up on news and friends or family's lives.
What are some innovations that this product has undergone since its original invention?
The telephone has been improved so many times and is yet to be improved! The first innovation of the telephone was called ''The candlestick phone.'' It separated into two pieces and one end you could hear the person talking, and the other you could talk in. It was popular around the 1890s to the 1930s. The next innovation was called the rotary phone. it had numbers and a spinning thing that you spun to the number you wanted. Next, was the push button phone. this phone had a number pad so you could push in the number you wanted to call. Then, the Mobile phone was created. It was a phone you could carry around in your purse or take it somewhere with you.

How has this product impacted society in a positive way?
Phones have impacted the society by allowing people to communicate from far distances and for entertainment. It is also good for looking stuff up for information.
How has this product impacted society in a negative way?
The phone is a major distraction with driving. Tons of people die in car accidents from texting, calling or playing a game on their phone. Also, with the internet, people can post bad things or even get cyber bullied. Some people can even give out personal information or hackers can hack into your profile or anything with personal information.
Science- Finding out how to build it and what I can do.
Technology- Connecting all the wires and making it work.
Engineering- Designing and building the device.
Math- Finding all the measurements and how to put it together.
If I could make a change to phones what would it be?
I would probably make it to where it was indestructible and make it to where you could jump inside of it and play a life size game. I would also make it to where it could read your mind and so if you wanted to text somebody, you could just think it and it will send.
