LEARN AND GROW WITH CHAMPIONS
BEFORE AND AFTER CARE
I’d like to remind you about our before and after school partnership with Champions. The Champions program provides children a place to participate in fun, educational activities right here onsite, including:
• • Daily options for learning adventures according to children’s interests
• • Physical activities and games that get children moving
• • Exercises that support development of science, technology, engineering, arts and math skills
• • Opportunities to make new friends
• • Healthy snacks provided
• • Homework help available at parents’ request
We’re proud of this partnership, and I encourage you to consider it if you’re in need of before or after school care. A perfect time to check out the Champions program is during the Champions Open House on Thursday September 20th from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.

STUDENT PICK UP
If your child is going home in a different way from their usual plan, please send a note to school with your child.
If plans change during the course of the school day and your child needs to follow a different dismissal process than planned, please call the school office before 3:00.
If you are picking your child up you can enter through the front doors any time after 3:30 and go to the cafeteria to check in and wait for them to be dismissed
from their classroom.
Students who are not picked up by 3:50 pm will be brought to the office and a parent will be called.
To avoid confusion and to keep everyone safe, it is best to have a consistent plan for dismissal.

PTO NEWS
BOOSTERTHON
The PTO thanks everyone for supporting our annual Boosterthon fundraiser. Once again, you’ve proven that Montgomery Elementary is a special place to raise our children. Please remember that this year’s collections help fund STEAM items to supplement our amazing curriculum.
It’s time to make payment for your Boosterthon pledges, if you haven’t done so already. Remember, the top classes at each grade level who COLLECT the most money will compete in a dodgeball game against the teachers.

MEMBERSHIP & INVOLVEMENT

In case you missed your hard copy forms, you can access the Membership Form and the Volunteer Sign Up by clinking the links. These forms are also available on our website.
It’s NOT to late to sign up! Remember, PTO chairs if you have not already submitted your membership please do so, Teachers please remember you must be a PTO member to submit special requests, and lastly if you would like access to the DirectorySpot App for the Student Directory you must be a PTO member! PTO PRESIDENT’S REPORT
It has been wonderful seeing everyone and meeting so many new families the past few weeks! We are off to a great school year at Montgomery Elementary and we are so excited about all the things to come.
Calling ALL Parents! We are still in desperate need of a PTO After School Enrichment Chair?!?
This person is responsible for coordinating all the After-School Enrichment Programs offered to the students each year! Most of these programs/teachers are already established and have already been in contact with us and are ready to go! Programs begin shortly after the New Year so we need a chair to fill this position by mid-October. Unfortunately, without a Chair we WILL NOT offer after school programs this school year!
