EEA Student & Parent News
March, 2021
A message from your Principal
Welcome to March!
Thank you so much for your attendance at the February conferences. Every year EEA families have some of the best attendance at Parent/Teacher conferences across the district! We know this year has presented challenges and we are grateful for your partnership. We are very excited to not only have more students attending in-person based on the individualized plans created at conferences but that we can continue to do so while maintaining the recommended 6 feet of distance.
While we are always working with our students so they earn all the right credits in all the right places, we are just as concerned that we help them become adults who are caring people we would love to live next door to. Please take some time to ask your child about the work we are doing weekly on Leader In Me, which is based on the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. So far we have spent time learning about the following habits:
Habit 1: Be proactive
Habit 2: Begin with the End in Mind
Habit 3: Put First Things First
Habit 4: Think Win-Win
This work is giving the students and staff the opportunity to examine if they are behaving in ways that move them forward toward their goals and if what they say matters to them is really what they prioritize. Watch for opportunities for parents to join in the activities in the future.
Due to the number of staff needed to administer the ACT test on March 9, all other students will have the day off. Please wish our juniors well on this important assessment.
As always, thank you for partnering with us on your child's education,
Dr. Young

Wausau School District Referendum

EEA will remain in the Wausau East building and our proposed changes would be a secure entrance and revamping the middle area of our space to provide more usable classroom spaces and more space for individual student/parent meetings.
