Staff Update

Further to the information provided at the end of last year, we would like to inform you of the following:

The teacher for the Year 5 and 6 class, in Room 3, will be Mrs Delwyn Bowen.

The teacher for the Year 4 class, in Room 14, will be Mrs Karen Tabuteau. Karen will also be the Team Leader.

The teacher for the Year 2 class, in Kakano 3, will now be Mr Matthew Liley (note change).

We would like to welcome Delwyn and Matt as new appointments to our staff. Both are experienced teachers who come to us from Otonga School.

Term Dates 2022

Term 1 begins on the 3 February and 4 February for our students. Each child, with their parent(s), needs to meet with their teacher on one of these two days. Please note that students do not need to wear their school uniform when they attend this meeting.

We would also like you to venture into the School Hall, either before or after your meeting with the teacher, to ensure you are well set up for the start of the school year. You can enter our lucky prize draw too!

The first day of class for all students is Tuesday 8 February.

How do I book an appointment for the meeting with my child's teacher on either Thursday 3 February or Friday 4 February?

Each child needs to attend with an adult whanau member. If you haven't done so already, please book a 25 minute appointment time for either Thursday 3 February or Friday 4 February. There are a number of ways you can do this:

Stationery

The school website has a tab that outlines all stationery needs for each year group. Click here to view our stationery lists for each level for 2022.

We recommend you place your order with Office Max now (if you haven't done so already) to ensure that you receive your order before school starts. Please note that the student ID section is not needed. If your order total is over $46 incl. GST, delivery is free. You can add any extra items for home if you need to "top up" an order to reach the $46 amount. If your order total is under $46 incl. GST there is a $5.90 incl. GST charge for delivery. We encourage you to purchase online from Office Max as this will ensure you purchase the exact stationery items the Class Teachers have ordered. The school also receives a bonus reward equivalent to 2% of your purchase cost.

Holiday Reading Programme

A reminder to keep encouraging your child to read over the remaining days of the School Holiday. Ensure they complete their Holiday Reading sheet so it is ready to return to school for entry into our Holiday Reading Prize Draw.
