The mission of Rainier View Elementary school is to empower our diverse community to be life long learners by inspiring growth, discovery and the building of a bright future.
Principal's Message
Hello Rainier View Community,
We are having a great start to November! The scholars are busy setting academic and social emotional goals to share with you at conferences. Many have made portfolios and have hand picked their best work to share! Your child's teacher will share iReady reading and math data, IRLA data and attendance data. Student-led conferences allows scholars to take ownership of their learning. We look forward to establishing strong working relationships with scholars and families.
There will be no school on November 11th in observance of Veteran's Day. Teachers will be sharing a Veteran's Day PowerPoint on Monday, November 14th to honor and recognize those who served. We appreciate all who served and their families!
The rainy season is upon us. Please send your child to school with rain appropriate clothing, they will go outside when it is raining. Our lost and found is full of jackets, sweatshirts, and umbrellas. Please check to see if your missing clothes are hanging on the wall in the gym hallway.
Follow us on Facebook, Instagram and our school page on the FWPS website . As part of the #FWPSProud campaign, we’re inviting scholars, staff, and community to share individual or group successes. You are invited to submit scholar, staff, and community successes through the submission form at http://www.fwps.org/FWPSProud
Have a restful weekend!

Counting Seeds Mrs. Morse's class worked in groups to create a strategy for counting LOTS of seeds! This activity aloud groups to make sense of problems and persevere in solving them, model with mathematics and use appropriate tools strategically. | Call and Response Ms. Madison teachers her scholars the classroom expectations through call and response. This fun and engaging technique supports memory recall. | Countries Around the World Mr. Whitcher's scholars are learning to say hello in different languages. They learned to say hello in Chinese; Ni hao! |
