Unit 10 Vocabulary Quiz

What's Happening in Class

7th Grade

This week, students will be participating in campus and district-wide benchmarks for writing and math. We will also be completing our study of The Outsiders with a digital escape room. At the end of the week, we will begin our study of poetry by experiencing several classic poems and analyzing the predominant literary devices in each.

8th Grade

Students are participating in campus and district-wide benchmark testing in reading and math at the beginning of the week. They will spend the remainder of the week continuing their study of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream.

Big picture

Expo celebrates future-ready learning by involving fellow students, teachers, and the community in an exhibition of Northwest ISD’s innovative and inspiring educational opportunities. The event gives students the chance to shine as they fine tune their presentation skills and communicate their innovative ideas in a variety of ways. Combined with culinary arts, photography, orchestra, and other groups, Expo 2018 is sure to be an unforgettable night.

February 22nd at Northwest High School.

The Unit 10 quiz for all grade levels will be on Friday, February 23rd.

*Please note, students will not be tested over Unit 9.

Reminder: The vocabulary schedule is available on both Google Classroom and Moodle. The schedule includes all quiz and test dates for the entire year. Though vocabulary workbook activities are not a requirement and will not be taken for a grade, they are the recommended method for studying. We will review the activities in class the Wednesday before each quiz, so students should plan to complete the activities prior to class that day.

Thursdays 8:10-8:40

Lunch tutorials available by appointment.

Please Note: Students should schedule tutorials with Mrs. Davis 24 hours in advance to obtain a tutorials pass.
