The Duneland Summer League is in full force again this summer. With a total of 36 teams from around the area in middle school or high school, there are plenty of games to be played in the month of June. Games are Monday and Wednesday nights and admission is free so come watch a few games. If you want to play, it's not too late to sign up. We can pro-rate the season if you sign up after the season begins!

The varsity season began with an unbelievable run as the Lady Trojans ran off 10 straight victories to begin the season. After losing their first game, the Trojans then put together another string of seven victories in a row en route to winning the Warsaw Invitational over the host Tigers. The varsity finished with the most regular season victories ever in Chesterton High School girls basketball with a total of 20 wins. Although the season fell short of the goal with a loss in the sectionals, this will certainly be a season that will be remembered for many years to come. Congratulations ladies, you certainly left your mark on Chesterton High School girls basketball! The seniors will undoubtedly be missed ... best of luck in your next chapter in life and be sure to come back and visit!

Congratulations to Coach Campbell for being selected as District One Coach of the Year for the IBCA (Indiana Basketball Coach's Association). In his 30th year of coaching girls basketball he amassed a record of 20-3 to bring his total victories to 369 wins.

Congratulations to Courtney Krol as she had an outstanding senior year at Chesterton High School. From All Tournament Team in Warsaw, to All Conference Team, to the NWI Times All Area Team, to the Academic All State Team, her accolades continued to pour in from her breakout senior year in which she averaged 18.5 ppg in the tough Duneland Conference. In addition she was chosen to participate in the top 60 senior workout at Heritage Christian and was selected to participate in the 2018 Hoosiers' Reunion All-Star Classic. To top all of this off, she has chosen to continue her basketball career by playing for Coach Bruno at DePaul University. Congratulations Courtney and GO BLUE DEMONS!

Congratulations to Hailey on an outstanding career at Chesterton High School. She was selected as a second team member of the News Dispatch All Area Team and an All Conference Player in the tough Duneland Conference along with being selected to the Post Tribune honorable mention All Area Team. She will continue her basketball career at Northwood University. GO TIMBERWOLVES!
