Last week of Goods Drive-until October 31
In honor of our 50th anniversaries, the College of Arts and Sciences, College of Fine and Applied Arts and Reich College of Education will host a goods drive focused on the “3 P’s” — personal care items, pasta, and peanut butter and jelly/jams — for Appalachian’s campus food pantry and free store, located in the Office of Sustainability.
Together the colleges are honoring this celebration by giving back to the Appalachian community by gathering basic necessities and goods to help students in times of need. The drive, called “500 for the 50th,” will take place Oct. 1–31 with a goal of collecting at least 500 personal care and/or food items.
Suggested donation items include:
- Toothbrushes and toothpaste
- Deodorant
- Haircare
- Feminine hygiene products
- Soaps/body wash
- Dry pasta
- Gluten Free pasta
- Rice
- Soups (pop-top cans preferred)
- Mac & cheese
- Peanut butter and/or nut butters
- Jellies and jams
Drop-off locations:
- Decorated boxes are by each elevator on floors 1-5
- There is also a box in the James Center for Student Success and Advising
