Reflecting on Black History Month
Sycamore Young Scholars sought out to leave an impact-full impression on their fellow peers and community by celebrating Black History Month throughout February. With a student-led strategy to give back to the local community, the Young Scholars Club launched a district-wide “School Supplies to Enrich Lives” drive to benefit The Boys and Girls Club of Greater Cincinnati. Students were able to collect three barrels worth of supplies along with high hopes of making this drive an annual Black History Month tradition within the Sycamore community.
