We will discussing Google Classroom our Learning Management System, Digital Citizenship, and general iPad information. Please attend and join the conversation. Hope to see you there."

During this last week of October we celebrated Red Ribbon Week to encourage our students to RESPECT themselves and others and to live a DRUG FREE Life.
In November we will be celebrating the spirit of GIVING.
We will be encouraging the students to...

--Volunteer your time and resources for charity
--Managing resources so that I can give and share them with those in need

Basketball (Coach Dachowski & Coach Moeller)
- 7th grade girl tryouts will begin at 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week.
- 8th grade girl tryouts will be after school on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week.
Football (Coach Fowler, Coach Rague, Coach Rogers, & Coach Tomlin)
7th LVMS Football vs. Marion:
Lago Vista opend the game with the kickoff. Marion completed a pass and moved into Viking territory. After the next 3 plays, the Dawgs were left with a 4th & 13. The Vikings defense made the stop after a short QB run. Logan Parsons, Dax Lawhon, Tony Reyes, Mikey D’Ambrose, Patrick Celcer & Jaden Hester made tackles on the Marion series. The Vikings took-over and Ryder Phillips throws to Hayden Chapman on a sprint-out-pass for 58yds & a touchdown. 2pt play was no good. LV 6 & Marion 0. After the kickoff Marion was stymied by the Vikings Defense & turned the ball over on downs. The Vikings were on the Dawg’s 38yd line and ran 3 run plays to end the 1st Qtr.
On 1st & 10 from Marion’s 27yd line, Jeremy Hill pitched to Logan Parsons on the option & Logan sprinted down the sideline for the TD. The 2pt. pass from Hill to Chapman was good. LV 14 & Marion 0. Lago Vista kicked-off and held Marion on downs to get the ball back. Phillips hands-off to Parsons up the middle for a 55yd touchdown run. Lawhon, Chapman, Wyatt Forbes, Jordan Johnston, David Ramirez & Cheyene Leblanc all had blocks on the score. 2pt play was no good.
LV 20 & Marion 0. After the kick, Marion ran the ball down field on downs and then threw for a TD. 2pt was no good after D’Ambrose knocked down the ball. LV 20 & Marion 6. The Vikings after the kickoff had Hill connecting with Chapman on a 50yd pass. This play ended the 1st half of play.
The Vikings received the 2nd half kick and on the first play Phillips optioned to Parsons for a 50 yd TD run. The 2pt pass from Phillips to Croxton was good.
LV 28 & Marion 6. Marion rec. the kick and marched the ball down the field for a score but the 2pts. was no good. LV 28 & Marion 12. End of 3rd quarter.
In the 4th quarter, the Vikings struggled on their next possession to eventually punt after a penalty backed them up. However, on Marion’s next play, Colby Croxton knocked the ball from the QB’s hand as he started to throw. Croxton recovered his on caused fumble. The Vikings were not done for the evening and Phillips pitched to Parsons for a 20yd gain. Then Parsons rushed twice & Phillips ran around the left end on a read run. On 1st & 10 from Marion’s 26yd line, Phillips optioned to Parsons and Logan raced to the endzone for the TD with Chapman & D’Ambrose leading the way. Phillips threw to Jaden Hester for the 2pts. LV 36 & Marion 6 The Vikings relaxed too soon and Marion returned the next kickoff from LV for a touchdown. The 2pt was good. LV 36 & Marion 14. The Vikings rushed the next 3 plays with Austin Giehl, Croxton & D’Ambrose to end the game. LV 36 and Marion 14. The Vikings are still undefeated in District Play and will travel to Luling next Thursday for the District Championship.
8th LVMS Football vs. Marion:
The 8th grade Vikings fought a tough game against Marion last night. In the first quarter Lago Vista scored first with Lanye Powers out running the Bulldogs down the sideline. He also scored the 2 point conversion. LV 8 & Marion 0. The Viking defensive was lead by the linebacker core of Lanye Powers, Josh Alexander, Luke Pounds, Noah Yetley & David Rague. In the 2nd Quarter after the Marion offense went on the move down the field the Viking defense stiffened with David Rague pulling-the-ball from the running back for a fumble that was picked-up & returned by Josh Alexander for the score. LV 16 & Marion 0. Marion although they did not pass much the secondary held Marion to only 3 catches for 30 yards. The secondary was led by Blaze Seely, Kaleb Alderete, and Trace Sweet. The leading receiver was Blaze Seeley with two long catches for the game. In the second half the rushing attempts was lead by Luke Pounds and Reece Whitelaw. The Vikings had two first downs Noah Yetley on the option reverse. Marion in the 3rd quarter lost the ball on a fumble caused by Dillion Amstutz and recovered by Lanye Powers. Blaze Seeley caught the two-point conversion. The last score of the game belonged to Josh Alexander on a scamble towards the end zone lead by the blocking of Noah Yetley and Hunter Phillips. At the end of game the Vikings held the Marion team on the field for 8 minutes with the linebacker core of Dylan McCory and Anson Eleuterius, Alex Holt, and Luke Pounds. The game ended with the Vikings on top. Lago Vista 30 & Marion 8. The 8th Vikings remain undefeated in District Play and they travel next week to Luling for the District Championship.

Dress Code Reminders...
1. Articles of clothing must not cause a distraction nor be a health or safety hazard.
2. Student appearance must not interfere with the instructional program.
3. Hair style must be: A. Clean and well groomed and out of the eyes. B. Any desired length that does not interfere with safety. C. Only natural colored hair is permissible. (For example, blonde, brown, black, and red) NO COLORED HAIR!
Specific standards of dress are as follows:
1. Dresses and non-uniform clothing must be of sufficient length to allow for performing normal school functions without immodest exposure. All outer garments (skirts, shorts, dresses, shirts worn over tights, etc.) are required to be no shorter than six inches above the back of the knee. Spandex shorts, tights, and leggings are NOT allowed. They may be worn under an outer garment that meets the six inches policy. Undergarments must not be visible. Garters and garter belts are considered undergarments.
2. Modesty will prevail. No low cut tops. See-through/sheer material is ONLY permitted worn over an article of clothing that is dress code compliant. Clothing that is torn, or with holes placed above fingertip length is prohibited. Pants, skirts, and/or shorts must cover all skin above the fingertip length.
3. Halter tops, low cut tops, and other similar clothing which reveals bare midriffs, bare backs, and low cut fronts may not be worn.
4. No pajamas, sleepwear, or house slippers of any kind (except for designated days such as theme or character days, etc.)
