Kilometer Kids Spring Season Registration is OPEN!
After a wildly successful pilot fall season, Simpson Elementary School's Kilometer Kids program resumes for a spring season!
What is Kilometer Kids? Atlanta Track Club's Kilometer Kids is a free, game-oriented running program designed to get kids active! The Kilometer Kids mission is to promote a healthy and active lifestyle to area youth through a running-based program, empowering children with the knowledge they need to make smart lifestyle choices. Through the program, kids learn that exercise is a fun and rewarding activity, opening the door for physical activity to become a lifelong habit.
When and Where? Practices will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays at the Pinckneyville Middle School track from 5-6 PM starting March 9, 2020.
Interested? Please find detailed information by clicking HERE to learn more about registration, practices, and volunteer opportunities. Note: registration for this season closes March 18.

SUPERSTAR APPRECIATION
On Tuesday night, we celebrated our students who entered the PTA Reflections contest. It was truly a Starry, Starry Night and took our amazing Simpson students, staff, and families to pull it off.
We extend our thanks and gratitude to:
Our Starry, Starry Night committee, Sarah Murnane and Kate Martin, for hosting a memorable evening,
Our Reflections committee, Aminta Bumrungsup, Gina Misticawi, and Sara Kroening, for all your hard work throughout the year,
Kevin Wu for pulling the Reflections video together,
Second grade Brownie Troop #18539 for leading us in the Pledge of Allegiance to start the evening
Carrie Foster with the Foster Home Team for donating the delicious treats to celebrate our award winners,
And thank you to our amazing custodial team for all the work you do!
