Utility Assistance
Community Action Partnership is taking applications for Heating/Utility assistance. YOU MUST HAVE AN APPOINTMENT. NO WALK-INS. Call the number listed on the flyer below to make an appointment. The office is in Ardmore on 1st Street. Please utilize this service if you need some help with increasing costs of heating your home. The required documents to bring with you to your appointment are listed on the flyer below, as well as the income based scale. You must live in Limestone or Madison County for this service.
Blessing Bag Program

Local Food Bank
CHO (Christian Helping Others) Food Pantry has updated their qualifications.
Individuals must live within a 12 mile radius of CHO (1st Street in Ardmore).
Monthly income qualifications are as follows:
1 adult household - $1575
2 adult household - $1800
3 adult household - $2010
Children in household – add $220 per child
Maximum - $2700
Example – if there are 3 children in a household with 1 adult the income level would be $2235 (($220 x 3) + $1575).
CHO is open the first 4 Tuesdays of every month from 9:00 – 12:00 except for December and they give out food the first two Tuesdays in December.
When an individual visits CHO for the first time they need to bring proof of income and residency. After the paperwork is completed and they qualify, they are qualified for the year.
CHO typically gives out food using FDA’s guidelines (canned vegetables, soups, & fruits, cereal, rice or pasta, peanut butter, meat (protein), sugar, flour, oil, and cornmeal). They sometimes have diapers and laundry detergent when these items are donated by churches.
Discovery Church
Discovery Church is located at 1207 East Forest Street. They give away free groceries every 4th Sunday of the month beginning at 1pm while supplies last. February 26th is the 4th Sunday of this month. Put it on your calendar!
Limestone County Churches Involved
LCCI is an emergency bridge providing food and general assistance to Limestone County Residents. They are open 9am-11am Monday-Friday. LCCI is located at 201 N. Jefferson. Their phone number is 256.262.0671. Call to ask what you need to bring with you.
