Art Contest!
For Students in 8th to 12th Grade
We're Looking for Art!
The Education Foundation for the Flint Community Schools is announcing an Art Contest for students in grades 8 - 12. The Education Foundation is seeking student art work that can be used in materials that will promote the Excellence in Education Awards Program including the the 2016 Annual Awards Ceremony. The theme for the art contest is “Excellence in Education”. Artwork should convey the ideas of (1) students engaged in their learning, (2) students excited about their future, and (3) educators who care about student success. Show us what the theme means to you!
Be original! The Winner will receive $100!
Entries may be drawings/paintings, photography, sculpture, collage or mixed media; any original art that can have a still image (meaning that it can be photographed.) Computer or other machine-generated artwork will not be accepted. The art must be original. See the rules for all the details. Rules and entry forms are available in the school offices at Northwestern/ALA and Southwestern Classical Academy.
The first place winner will receive the grand prize of $100. Three other finalists will receive $25 each. All four finalists will be invited to the June Awards Ceremony where their art will be on display.

The Contest begins March 23rd. All Entries are due April 15th.
A panel of local artists will judge all submissions in terms of artistic merit, creativity, and how well the theme is communicated through the artwork.
