No Name-Calling Week Was a Success!

Titans made pins, added thoughtful messages to our kindness chain, and told us how they would stop a bully. Thank you to all who participated!

Winners of the raffle drawing are:

Cadence Kim - "I would stop a bully by speaking up to an adult and then speaking to the victim to see if he or she is alright."

Teacher Librarian and Health Classes Take on Healthy Relationships, Cyberbullying, and Hate Speech

Last month, Health classes had the opportunity to discuss what healthy relationships look like, both offline and online. Titans discussed steps to counteract cyberbullying and hate speech and positive ways to post and interact on social media using two wonderful technology based tools - Padlet and Pear Deck. In May, students will have the opportunity to engage in another lesson that focuses on safe online personal relationships.

After the lesson, Titans created Healthy Relationship Digital Postcards to show other teens what a healthy relationship looks like online. The engagement and response was wonderful. Over 55% of the students found the information very helpful and over 72% of the students said they would think more about what they post and do on social media because of the lesson. Check out their responses and creations below. Way to stay safe online Titans!
