Hutchinson Herald
Weekly Bulletin 5/3/21 - 5/7/21
OUR MISSION is to cultivate a positive community of engaged critical thinkers.
OUR VISION is for all students to access high quality curriculum, engaging instructional activities, and a supportive learning environment,
WE ARE COMMITTED to closing the gap for our students who are below grade level while still ensuring that every student makes continuous growth each year.
We had an amazing first week of in-person instruction! Our students were excited to return to campus and did a wonderful job following safety protocols. Thank you parents for your support and flexibility as we transitioned back. Let's have a great remainder of the school year!
ROTATING WEDNESDAYS
* Wednesday 5/5 will be Period 3*
Please save the date for an in-person 8th grade promotion on Tuesday, June 1st at 11:00 am to celebrate the accomplishments of our 8th graders! Safety protocols will be in place for this event. More details will be coming soon.

iReady Diagnostic Assessment
In lieu of the California Smarter Balanced Assessments this year, we will be administering the iReady ELA and Math Diagnostics starting May 5th. Please encourage your student to complete the assessment to the best of their abilities as we will use this data to determine class placements for honors, measure our student's growth, and provide appropriate interventions.
Yearbook Pictures
We are excited to announce that we will be putting together a yearbook for this school year. Due to the unique circumstance we need your help! We would love to get picture submissions from you that showcase your student while distance learning. If you have a picture of them participating in Zoom classes or working on a school related activity we would love to showcase it in the yearbook.
Please send your picture submissions along with your student's name and grade to hjaeger@nlmusd.org.
