A Note from the Administration

Hello Falcon Community,


In this eblast, you will find all the information about starting school next week on August 26th in Phase 1, Home Learning. As always, please don’t hesitate to reach out with questions. I appreciate your partnership in making this a successful journey for our students!

Schedule Information

We are still finalizing our student schedules with classes and teachers. These will be available in Infinite Campus early next week. For now, you may log in to Infinite Campus to view your student’s cohort assignment that will be relevant in Phase 3. You can find our daily schedule structure here: BHMS Daily Schedule.


7th and 8th Grade Materials Pick Up

7th and 8th grade families or students may come by the school on Monday, 8/24, between 8-11am or 3-6pm to pick up materials (including a planner, a whiteboard and a welcome packet). 7th and 8th graders needing a band or orchestra instrument, please complete the form here: BHMS Instrument Check out Form

In order to ensure a safe and efficient process, please follow our pick up protocol.


6th graders, don’t worry! We will have materials for you in a couple of weeks when the new chromebooks arrive. More information will be sent soon.

What should I do to make sure my student is ready for the first day of school?

Set up a learning space that your student can use, ideally with a table or desk and free of distractions

Make sure your student can log in to my.bvsd.org with their BVSD username and password. If you need help, start here.

Make Sure Your Chromebooks Are Ready!

Please take some time to help your student make sure that their chromebook is updated and ready to go when school starts on August 26.


If you do not have your chromebook yet (new students and incoming 6th graders), don't worry...we will be sharing the plan to distribute chromebooks very soon!


If you notice any problems when you turn on the chromebook, please try some of the following tips:


The five steps identified below solve many of the issues you will experience. If these steps do not resolve your issue, call 720-561-HELP.

Next Steps


Restart your device.

With all basic troubleshooting, this should always be step number one. Closing the lid does not shut a device down. Make sure you click “shut down” or “restart” or hold down the power button.


Charge your device. If the device won’t turn on, plug it in to a charger and leave it for 15 minutes. Do not try to restart the device until 15 minutes have passed.


Verify your wireless connection. Check that you are connected to a wireless network.


Update your device operating system. When your Chromebook downloads a software update, at the bottom right, look for the “Update available” notification.


Reset your device. If all else fails and you have a Chromebook, you can reset your device by doing the following:

a. Sign out of your Chromebook

b. Press and hold Ctrl + Alt + Shift + r

c. Select Restart

d. In the box that appears, select “Powerwash,” then “Continue.”

e. Follow the steps that appear and sign in with your BVSD Google Account

f. Once you’ve reset your Chromebook:

i. Follow the onscreen instructions to set up your Chromebook

ii. Check if the problem is fixed
