Technology Synopsis

Students will create a poster using glogster because they can include visuals, videos and text and is easy to learn to use. Their poster will include examples of Mayan practices of language and writing that show that they were complex. Students will also include a paragraph describing how the Maya used writing and how others have worked to understand it. Students will use edmodo to link their poster and they will respond to each others work.

Techonology Synopsis

Students will make a chart of the benefits of swamp agriculture and the use of chinampas using bubbl.us since it is easy to create charts and thinking maps and makes the information easy to understand. Students will post their links to their chart on edmodo so that they can review and respond to each other. Students will also post a response to the lesson question on padlet.com because it is easy to post response without creating an account and they can add links to their response. They can also read each others responses.
