Big picture

Dear Canyon View Families,

Thank you to all of our families who have generously made their annual pledge drive donation. We are in our last days of the Pledge Drive and the PTA needs to raise an additional $11,000 by October 31st to reach its $30,000 Pledge Drive Goal for this school year. I am asking for your help and know that, together, we can help PTA reach its goal!

PTA has worked tirelessly to modify the programs for this school year to ensure that they reach all of our families regardless of academic model. We are asking that every family donate to help PTA continue to pay for these educational and extracurricular programs that are sure to enrich your child's experience at Canyon View. The PTA will spend approximately $100 per student to support all of its programs this year including Reflections, Art Masters, International Day, a reading program (to be announced), and so much more.

Please register and donate online today at or complete the attached Pledge Drive Form and return to the PTA basket in the front office before October 30th. The suggested donation amount is $100 per Canyon View student but a donation of any amount is greatly appreciated.

Dear IUSD Community,

The Irvine Public Schools Foundation (IPSF) is committed to providing educational enrichment for every IUSD student in every school, including science, technology, engineering, art and music programing. You can support this important partnership that benefits all IUSD students by participating in IPSF’s annual giving campaign, which kicked off on October 16 with IPSF’s Giving Day and runs through the end of November.

Donations to IPSF help make a difference where it matters most – in the classroom. At the elementary level, contributions help provide additional qualified instructional assistants who work directly with your children, improving student to educator ratios. In our middle and high schools, class‐size support funds equate to additional offerings and smaller classes in critical subject areas. In addition, IPSF enhances music education for students in transitional kindergarten through grade six, as well as grants that enable our teachers and counselors to pursue new technologies and innovative learning strategies. IPSF also supports IUSD’s health and wellness efforts, contributing funding for athletic trainers in every high school and to districtwide mental health resources.

Double Your Investment
When you give to IPSF, your contributions will go even further with the City of Irvine’s Challenge Match Grant. The City will match every donation made to IPSF, up to $1.3 million dollars. This generous match program gives IPSF the opportunity to potentially raise more than $2.5 million for IUSD students and schools. In addition, if your employer has a match program, you will be tripling your dollars to support.

Thank you for your continued engagement, partnership and support of IUSD and our partner, IPSF.
