Principal's Message

Dear Lewistown Families,

A warm welcome to all our families! It was great to see the smiling faces at our Open House after the long summer break. I want to take this opportunity to thank all families for preparing your children to be ready for learning. It was a great first week back to school at Lewistown! Thank you for your partnership and continued support as we launch our 2022- 2023 school year!

Our Tiger Times this week if full of important information for back to school. Take a look at our most recent tweets @LESFCPS and @FCPSBFockler.

We encourage you to review the 2022- 2023 Lewistown Family Handbook, which contains important information for students/families. It may be helpful to read through the handbook as a family.

A special thank you to our Lewistown PTA and Lewistown United Methodist Church for providing luncheons to welcome back our staff! We appreciate your support!

Looking forward to a fabulous school year!

Ms. Belinda Fockler

Proud Principal of Lewistown Elementary School

Meet your School Counselor, Ms. Bo!

Welcome to the new school year LES!

I am your school counselor. This is my 5th year at LES and I love our school! Prior to working here, I was a teacher for many years at Deer Crossing Elementary School, Thurmont Primary School, and Sabillasville. I became a counselor 7 years ago and I absolutely love my job. I am here to support students, staff, and families in our community.

Volunteers Needed!

If you would like to help our school, we are in need of some help with our Tiger Cart. Our students work hard to earn Tiger Tickets and look forward to spending their tickets at the Tiger Cart! If you are interested in helping, contact Ms. Bo for more information. Thank you! Please complete the Volunteer Training here.

As always, if you have any needs, don’t hesitate to email me at or 240 236 3750. I can help with mental health questions, food resources, and more.
