They will fill out the proper form, put it inside the book, then put the book into the grocery bag located in each homeroom. The students and staff are very excited that nationally-known author Margaret Peterson Haddix will be visiting the E.H. Greene School on February 16. The autographing form was sent home in this week's Thursday green envelope. It is also available on the media center Blackboard website, in the homerooms, in the media center, and you may CLICK HERE for a copy. There is a limit of 5 books per child. Please CLICK HERE for a schedule for February 16 if you would like to join us for one of the author's presentations. Thank you to the Greene PTO for helping to make this special event possible.

Junior High Choir Auditions

Deborah Stein and Jesse Callahan, choir directors at the Junior High, will be at the Greene School on Monday, February 6th and Tuesday, February 7th to listen to any student in 6th grade who is interested in being in choir at the Junior High. Make-ups will take place on Wednesday the 8th. The Junior High currently has close to 400 students in choir and is excited to meet and welcome incoming 7th graders to the program next year. Last year, close to 250 6th graders auditioned for JH choir. Awesome! After auditions, the teachers will notify the students of which choir they should sign up for. Sycamore Junior High has 5 choirs that meet during the school day. They are all award winning ensembles and participate at all concerts! If you have a student who is a hard-worker, has a desire to try something new/meet new people, has a love of singing or wants to be part of a winning team, Sycamore Junior High choir might be for them! Please contact Deborah Stein ( or Jesse Callahan ( if you have any additional questions.
