Picture Re-Take Day

Picture re-take is on Friday, December 4. If you need a form, have your student stop by the office before Friday to pickup. Once you have the form you may pay online by going to The picture day id is MJ215442Q1. If you are retaking pictures please return the original pictures to the office.

Raffle Tickets

Money for the raffle tickets are due to the office on Thursday, December 3. Unless you have made prior arrangements with Mrs. Richards the money will be deducted from your TADS account on Saturday, December 5.

Barnes & Noble Bookfair

This Saturday, December 5 we will be hosting a bookfair at the Barnes & Noble located in the Bowie Town Center. Our school will earn up to 20% back on purchases made during the bookfair. God's Rods will perform at 11:00 am and our school choir will perform at 11:45 am. Christmas Concert

The kids are busy practicing for the Christmas Program to be held on Thursday, December 10th at 7:00 pm. Please plan on attending all students will be performing.

Technology Safety

Parents, if your child has access to a technology device, please sign into it at least once a week to ensure it is being used correctly. If you have questions about how to check certain sites, please contact Mrs. Norris, she is happy to help you!

Virtus Training Coming to St. Matthias

There will be a Virtus training session at St. Matthias on Saturday, December 12 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. You will need to go online to to register for this upcoming class.

Calendar Change

The last day of classes before the Christmas break will be December 18 which will be a half day with no ESP. Please make the change to your calendar.

BIG Deadline Fast Approaching for Current Families

Financial Aid Applications are due DECEMBER 4th. If you have not signed up go to or our school website to apply. All tuition assistance obtained through the archdiocese is based on financial need. Families must apply each year to receive assistance and need must be demonstrated each year to qualify. Applying for tuition aid has no bearing on whether a student is admitted to a school. Essay and Drawing Contest Sponsored by the Sodality Union

The Committee of Junior Sodality of the Sodality Union is delighted to again this year present an Essay and Drawing Contest.

Participants are asked to answer the following question:

What can I offer in sacrifice to help the Poor and help save the Earth?

The question relates to the pledge many have taken to "Walk with Pope Francis" in service to our community.

Essays and drawings are due by December 20, 2015.

Contest winners will be recognized on February 6, 2016 at the Sodality Union General Meeting at St. Benedict the Moor Catholic Church.

Scholarship Opportunity

The Maryland State Council of the Knights of Columbus in partnership with the Knights of Columbus Insurance Advisors is the sponsor of several High School Scholarships for its members and for Catholic students in general. Application period is from October 1 to February 1, 2016. All applications must be received by the Scholarship Committee no later than February 1, 2016. Click on the link to obtain more information.
