Congratulations to all our spelling bee participants! Congratulations to Bernard and Celina who will be moving on to the next level of competition with the Knights of Columbus! Bernard will also be competing at the Polk County Spelling Bee!
Book Fair Help Wanted!
We are in need of fingerprinted volunteers to help with book fair on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (December 2, 4, 6). Shifts are 7:30am-12:00pm and 12:00-4:00pm. Both shifts are available. We also need volunteers for Saturday, December 7 during Sweets with Santa from 8:00am-12:00pm. If interested, please contact Maria Rivera at email@example.com.
Hurricane Make-Up Days
Our hurricane make-up days will be on December 5th and January 9th. These days are currently scheduled at 12:00 dismissal days. They will now be full days of school. These two days plus the 12:00 dismissal day in September that was changed to a full day will give us enough instructional hours to make-up for the two hurricane days we were off.
There was a beautiful prayer service held on Veteran’s Day to honor all those who served.
Annie Jr. Informational Meeting
There will be an informational meeting for all students in grades 6-8 who are interested in auditioning for our spring musical, Annie Jr. The meeting will be held on November 20 from 3:30-4:30pm in Ms. McGillin’s room.
There will be a meeting on Tuesday, November 19th at 8:00am in the teachers’ lounge for anyone interested in helping with the Gala. This is our largest fundraiser and requires many volunteers.

O Blessed Joseph, faithful guardian of my Redeemer, Jesus Christ, protector of Mary, the virgin Mother of God, I choose you this day to be my special patron and advocate and I firmly resolve to honor you all the days of my life. Therefore I humbly ask you to receive me as your client, to instruct me in every doubt, to comfort me in every affliction, to obtain for me and for all the knowledge and love of the Heart of Jesus, and finally to defend and protect me at the hour of my death.
