Middle School Memo
Week of Monday, January 29 - Friday, February 2
From the Principal:
๐ถ Edwards Personal Update: Mrs. Edwards is fully on her maternity leave now, but we are holding down the fort in her stead! All aspects of her role as principal have been carefully accounted for!
If you need anything, please reach out to the front office and we can direct you where you to the correct contact. Thank you for your understanding as she takes some time to get at home to get accustomed to life with two infants!
๐ After School Tutoring: This resumed on Wednesday 1/17. It is every Monday and Wednesday from 3-4 in the library. Any student may attend. This is a great time for students to get help from different content teachers or just have a quiet place to work/study!
๐ฉบ Halstead Field Trip (6th Grade ONLY): This field trip is slated for this week! Please look for more information from your student's ELA teacher!
๐Library Info: Author Dan Gemeinhart will visit our school to speak to all students on Tuesday, March 5. He is the author of several books including "The Remarkable Journey of Coyote Sunrise", which the majority of 7th grade ELA classes read during the school year. Mr. Gemeinhart will be here courtesy of Watermark Books to talk about his newest book "Coyote Lost and Found". During library classes Tuesday, January 16 through Friday, January 26, students will receive an order form to purchase books written by author Dan Gemeinhart. This is not a required purchase, but it will be an opportunity to purchase the newest book "Coyote Lost and Found" AND to get it autographed by the author. If you have any questions about the author visit or book purchase please email Library Teacher Elizabeth Sherwood, elizabeth.sherwood@usd262.net. (Repeated below with the book order form attachment!)
