Spring has arrived and we have so many exciting events coming up, we hope to see you around the school when you are able to visit. VETERANS INFORMATION
Dear Families,
Below is an invitation and special message from Dennis Groves to our Veterans.
Hi my name is Dennis Groves I am a Veteran in the Carver Community. The last time some of the Veterans in the community got together was at the Carver Elementary School's 8th Annual Veteran's Day Celebration. Mrs. Maestas asked me to speak a little at this event and to bring my Veteran storyboard that I have created at work with all the Veterans that I am working with at Home Depot in Mansfield. I created this Veterans board with the plaques a couple of years ago and have been updating it as associates come and go. There are seven decades of service on the wall. I wanted the Veterans to know each other and the employees that I work with know who we are. Mostly it was for the Veterans to be able to have someone to talk to if needed. There is no better way to do it than to let them know who they are. As new Veterans were hired I was able to hear some of their stories and wanted to do more, that is where my storyboard came to life. I was able to show others what these Veterans were a part of and to know they were a part of history. The Carver Elementary School would love to do the same thing and help teach students learn more about what Operations and Task Forces were all about and to see the evolution of uniforms the Veterans wore in their time of service. If you would like to show the kids the part of history you were a part of and to be able to see this at the next Veterans Day Celebration, please reach out. Send me an email at groves6969@gmail.com.
Thank you in advance for all your support,
Dennis Groves

Name Tags For Dismissal
CES is proud to announce that every child will be receiving an end-of-school dismissal tag for their backpack. This tag is designed to further improve our dismissal process. A few weeks ago, we started the rollout of placing the name tags on your child's backpack. We heard from a few families about the dismissal tag and made some adjustments. Here is an image of what a blank backpack tag looks like. Your child's individual tag will include their name and typical end-of-day dismissal plan. We ask that you leave the tag on for the remainder of the school year or call us if adjustments need to be made to your child's tag. At the end of the year, we will work with you to evaluate our new system and make adjustments for the coming year. If the tag becomes damaged or is accidentally removed, please do not worry, we can replace it. If you have any questions, please reach out to any of the school administrators.
