Brickie Leaders work with Blankets of Love

Hobart High School’s Brickie Leaders, an organization that promotes leadership, empathy, accountability, and open discussion, conducted a candy fundraiser to raise money for Blankets of Love ministry again this year. Denise Stewart created the Blankets for Love ministry in order to provide warm, soft blankets to cancer patients in the region who are going through chemotherapy. When she contacted us and asked if there was way to help build her inventory, we knew that we could do something to help her. At Hobart High School, our organization is committed to spreading kindness throughout the year and helping different organizations do so as well. Brickie Leaders wished to give a HUGE Thank you to Albanese Candy for their generosity; they DONATED gummy bears and worms this year. And we were able to raise $291. Thank you Brickie Leaders and Thank you Albanese.

DECA represents HHS at the Hobart Business Expo

On May 15, DECA officially represented School City of Hobart at the Hobart Business Expo. This is an annual event sponsored by the Hobart Chamber of Commerce and Dr. Buffington invites DECA to be the professional representatives each year. The three students pictured did a fantastic job speaking with community members that visited our "booth". The DECA members present are Rene Delgado, Lily Kollross and Faith Spencer.
