Doors Open/Drop-off and Pick-up
Mornings: Grab-n-Go breakfast bags will be available and students will eat in their classroom.
Walkers and drop-offs may enter the building beginning @ 8:45. They may also grab a breakfast if they would like and take it to their classroom. We ask that students walking, riding bikes or being dropped off arrive close to 8:45, but no sooner. We are trying to minimize large groups congregating as much as possible. Unfortunately, due to COVID restrictions, parents are not allowed to walk their child to their classroom. I wish things were different and we could allow this, but we just can't at this time. Thank you for your understanding.
We will have several staff members with walkie-talkies in the pick-up area. Once you tell them who you are picking up, they will radio the classroom directly. Again, this is to minimize large groups of students congregating. A staff member will also be signaling cars to pull-up to the front of the line to keep things moving. Students must wait until their ride is pulled up past the cones on the sidewalk to enter their vehicle. If you are in the pick-up line, please do not get out of your vehicle as this will cause a large back-up. We can usually get all students off the campus in 10 minutes or less on most days. Remember to use the designated crosswalks on school grounds and on 68th avenue. We have adult patrols on seven crosswalks to ensure our students are crossed safely.
We will have several buses and daycare vans picking students up as well. We ask that you refrain from parking in the front of the building to pick up your child. We also ask that you do not walk in the front parking lot, but stay on the sidewalk. Our goal is to keep everyone safe.
