Part of the economy is free enterprise and the other part is run by the government.

Mixed economies can reduce the amount of government control and regulation prevalent to command economies.

Government can pursue policies therefore providing macro-economic stability.

- A mixed economy is an economic system that involves more than one economic system

- The government is involved in planning the use of resources

- Allows private enterprise to run most business

- Markets primary source is the interaction of producers and consumers

- High level of state participation
