Merryhill School News

Science Fair

Our Science Fair this week was full of amazing projects created by our amazing students! We have some real aspiring scientists in our mix, and I am so proud of the great work that they did! I hope that everyone had a chance to come see the wonderful work.

We need to ask that all students take their projects home this afternoon. Projects left after today will be discarded. Thank you.

Daddy and Daughter Dance - just one week away!

We are so excited about the Daddy and Daughter Dance which is just one week from today! This is a wonderful evening with dinner, dessert, souvenir photos, and our girls dancing their shoes off with their loved ones and friends. For those in need, we will have meatless pasta options available.

We cannot wait to see everyone there!

2018-2019 Registration

We have just two and a half weeks left for our early registration! Do not miss the opportunity to get your students enrolled for next year with the early registration discount. We will also open registration to the public on March 1st, so availability will be on a first come, first serve basis. We are so excited to have your students continue their learning with us next year! Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

Flu and Illness

As you know, illness season continues and has affected many. Please continue to help us with flu prevention efforts. We are continuing to to work with our janitorial staff, as well as during the day with our faculty, to ensure that we are sanitizing our buildings thoroughly. We are also promoting proper hygiene practices with our students.

Please help our efforts by reminding your students to take extra precautions; wash hands thoroughly, cover their coughs and sneezes, etc. Please keep your student out of school if they show any signs of flu or other communicable illness. Students should be out the school for 24 hours symptom free without medication before returning to school.

As a community, we will work together to keep all of our children healthy.

Scripps Spelling Bee

Congratulations to Ayden in 4th Grade for doing a great job representing Merryhill School at the regional Scripps Spelling Bee in Ft. Worth yesterday!

Year End Receipts

You will be able to access your year end receipts through our online portal, Alma. You are able to access the portal through our website. As a reminder, the username is firstname.lastname of the primary parent on your student's account.

Family of the Week - Meet the Sharp Family

Big picture

Tell us about your family.

We have been at Merryhill for about 12 years. Our oldest son started when he was three years old and graduated from 6th Grade with a wonderful group of kids (that still stay in touch many years later). Our youngest son started in Pre-K and will be in the 6th grade next year. We have loved our time at the school.

What is your favorite Merryhill memory?

Being part of the first class to have a formal 6th Grade Graduation ceremony.

Why Merryhill?

I originally was looking for just a child care but for about the same price, we were able to have our children in private school.

Anything else you would love to share?

I always tell others how the teachers and staff push the children to see the importance of character, as well as academics.
