We will have a brief orientation and then you will choose the classes you would like to attend. Descriptions and session availability for the classes are below.

Session 1 Choose from Safari Montage or Flip Your Lesson

Safari Montage Lab B This class will get you started in Safari as you discover all that Safari Montage has to offer. You will be amazed at the valuable resources that are available in one place.


Flip Your Lesson Lab C If a picture is worth a thousand words, then videos are priceless! Learn how to create video lessons for your students (and parents too!) on the desktop and on your device. OPTIONAL – bring your iPad or other digital device

Session 2 Choose from Is iTunes U for U? or Discover the New Discovery Education

Is iTunes U for U? Lab B Discover how iTunes U transforms instruction and learning across the world and across our district! This overview will introduce participants to iTunes U, including searching and subscribing to courses. (IPAD REQUIRED)


Discover the New Discovery Education Lab A Get the most from Discovery Education Streaming. Learn to stream and download media, organize media in My Content and explore instructional strategies for integrating DE Streaming into your content area.

Session 3 Choose from Formative or EdPuzzle

Formative Lab A Create incredible, online assessments. See live results and give your students immediate feedback. Formative is for any grade, any subject and any internet connected device.


EdPuzzle Lab C Love using videos to teach your lessons but feel like your students just aren’t responding? Try out this great tool that allows your students to engage in the videos they watch. Set up video assignments, manage multiple classes, insert your own voice for commentary, and add assessment questions throughout the video. With EdPuzzle, your students will be 100% engaged in learning!

Session 4 Choose from Flip Your Lesson (repeat) or Google Classroom

Google Classroom Lab B Create a virtual classroom to enhance communication with students, create /collect assignments, and help students stay organized.

Session 5 Choose from Zoom (repeat) or Edmodo

Edmodo Lab C Love Facebook but afraid to use it in the classroom? Come discover the kid-friendly alternative, Edmodo! This learning management system integrates social networking with e-learning and provides classrooms with a safe and easy way to connect and collaborate with students, offering a real-time platform to share content, exchange ideas, and access homework.


Zoom Lab A Learn to use this dynamic cloud-based resource. This tool will let you collaborate and share with its powerful video-conferencing and screen-sharing capabilities.

Session 6 Playground

Lab A This is your opportunity to use what you have learned today. Bring any classroom resources that you might need to collatorate with others and create lessons to use tomorrow and beyond!
