Message from the Principal
Dear Forest Grove Families and Staff,
We are very excited about the upcoming events that Forest Grove Falcon Family is preparing. A big thank you to PTA and staff for working together to ensure successful events. This week, we learned about and celebrated with families Diwali and the New Year 2022. We recognize and value our diverse Falcon Family. We honor all families and recognize some families may not celebrate all the upcoming events.
Students are learning in all classrooms and outdoors. First and fifth grade participated in field trips this week. First grade attended the Farm at Salinas and Spreckles Park. Each student picked a pumpkin which they proudly carried back to the bus and their classroom upon their return. Fifth grade walked to the PG Museum and the bus drove them back to school. Students learned about natural resources and cultural histories of Monterey County.
Our EL teacher Mrs. Smallwood and Mrs. McDaniel supported our English Learner families putting together a engaging and community-building evening event at the end of the month in September. Families joined another event with Robert H. Down's EL teacher Ms. Cafferata this past Saturday at Caledonia Park where students and adults alike enjoyed some donuts and playtime.
Goals 1 and 2 - Instruction
English Language Arts and Mathematics - student learning focused on growth
Goal 3 - Visual and Performing Arts
All subjects are supported twice a month - engagement, access and understanding
