Easter Bunny Bulletin
MESSAGE FROM THE ACADEMIC PRINCIPAL
Claires Court enjoys a large and well differentiated community, in which we can enjoy the age and stage of our children’s development. From Nursery to Sixth Form we encounter a variety of challenges, many not of our making. Some of course have been weather-related and the political storm clouds brewing show that the future for us all is uncertain.
Through our various events and festivals since, we have shown our resolve to be our best selves. The extraordinary event that the PTA Easter Egg Hunt has become gives testament to the sheer hard work our PTA committees give voluntarily to make a difference for friends and family. The Secondary Commemoration Service yesterday helps highlight through words and song that we do not forget those we have lost over the past year. Perhaps above all, it is the magnificent performance of our pupils, be that in the classroom or as individuals, on stage or on the playing fields that reminds me why I came into and remain in education. Children don’t naturally get scholarships or A* grades. To learn your part, whatever the stage requires a bit more than effort, as does winning national rugby sevens titles or the Schools’ Head of the River race.
So to all in our community I bid you a short farewell for the Easter break. I hope you get some time to spend with each other over the holidays, to live a little more 'in the moment' and appreciate the time now that we have. The future seems to be as foreign a country as the past!
