Proclamation of 1763

In the proclamation of 1763,after the king had taken most of the land from the french including the valley.The king forbid anyone to go to the Ohio river valley.This made the colonists very upset that they couldn't live or go to the land that they fought and risked their lives for.

Stamp act of 1765

After the war,the king had come to realize how much the war costs.They needed to pay for it,so one of the only ways was to tax the colonists,but he didn't just tax one thing.He taxed almost all paper goods.This caused the colonists to start losing their jobs and a lot of money.They were not happy.

The Townshed acts of 1767

This act was when the king Decided to put tax on a lot of things such as,glass,lead,paint,paper,and tea.As upset as the colonists were about all these taxes,they were mostly upset about the king taxing tea.They really loved tea and to make them cost a lot was a bad move for the king.

The Boston massacre of 1770

Some colonists were protesting against some red coats.The soldiers were told not to fire,but the colonists were furious.One of the colonists ended up hitting one of the red coats with a club.The soldiers were angry now as well and they began shooting.The colonists tried to run away and most of them escaped,except for 5 people,who were killed.

The tea act of 1773

This was when the kind was suspicious colonists and was suspecting they were smuggling tea,since it was taxed.He starting sending soldiers onto every ship before they left the dock to check if they were smuggling tea.Some colonists would trap a soldier,hide the tea,then let him out and only say the door got stuck just to smuggle it.

The Boston tea party of 1773

After the king had taxed the colonists a ton,shot and killed some colonists for protesting,and getting soldiers to search for tea on their ships,the colonists had enough.The colonists had a plan to dress up as natives and sneaked onto ships.As soon as they were on the ships,they grabbed all the tea and dumped them into the ocean to sink and never be seen again.The king was very upset,considering that was thousands of dollars worth of tea.

The intolerable acts of 1774

The intolerable acts was an act the king took to take control of Massachusetts.He did this because the colonists had been acting up lately and he wanted to show them how much power he had.

Lexington and Concord of 1775

Soldiers arrived in Lexington and they said not to fire unless fired at.No one knows who it is today,but someone had shot a gun somewhere and the red coats started shooting.The colonists and soldiers battled and about 8 people died.
